Hootles Nov 24 Kira Kira by Cynthia Kadohata
This is a Newberry Medal book. It's about 2 Japanese American sisters, Lynn and Katie, and when they move to America. Lynn was always there to comfort Katie in her hard times and explain to her things she never knew, but one day Lynn falls very ill....This is a very touching story and I would rate it a 4. Some times it got a bit boring for me,but I enjoyed it all the same. I would recommend this book to people who like sad stories.

Mr_Hamu, Nov. 18th, Weedflower by Cynthia Kadohata
Weed flower is a book about a young twelve year old Japanese girl named Sumiko. Her family raised her on a flower farm in California. Sumiko was always used to being the only Japanese girl in her class. Even when the other kids tease her about it, she always had her flowers and family to go to. But all of that changed after the horrific events of Pearl Harbor. The Americans start to suspect that all Japanese people are spies. As suspicions grow, Sumiko and her family find themselves being shipped to an internment camp. But then she meets this Indian boy who might just become her first real friend in her life. I would rate this book a 4 because it tells you a little bit about the Pearl Harbor history and it's quite interesting.

jellybelly96 Nov. 18th 2007 Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony by Eoin Colfer
Artemis Fowl and the Lost Colony is the latest book in the Artemis Fowl series. This series is about a young criminal mastermind named Artemis Fowl who discovers a fairy civilization living amongst the humans. Artemis seizes this opportunity to take an advantage of the fairy world. Throughout the series, he discovers that he does not know that much about the fairy civilization and embarks on a number of adventures that gets him in and out of trouble. However, this book is unlike the other books in the series, this book is action packed with mysterious findings, a Mafia group taking revenge, a demon appears in the real world which causes the time spell to unravell and even worse, there is another genius. Although Artemis is a criminal in the end, turns out as a kind, caring, young criminal mastermind who saves the human world from being vanished from the face of the earth. The moral of the story is that some people can be smart and evil and good at the same time. In all, I rate this book a five on the five scale. And another tip is to start at the beginning of the series so you won't miss out on any of Artemis's great adventures.

Pepper3; Nov. 18, Chicken Soup for the Preteens Souls; Written by four authours
This book is a collection of stories about growing up. They are about changes people go through. The stories are realife experiences that talk about friendship, achieving dreams, family, death and dying as well as other subjects. One story that touched me was about a teenager who lost his mother in the Oklahoma City bombing. The story showed me that things happen in life when we least expect it and that life can not be taken for granted. I would rate this book as a five. It is one of the best books I read so far.

The_Guy Nov 18 Eldest by Christopher Paolini
This book is all about a poor farm boy who turns into one of the elite "Dragon Riders" of old, magical elves who have the strength of 20 men, sturdy seven-toed dwarves who mine in underground caves and evil, horned, goblin-like Urgals. Eragon, who is a Dragon Rider, has just been sent to Du Weldenvarden to complete his training as a Rider with the elves, meanwhile Roran, Eragon's cousin, is busy back at Carvahall trying to amend for Eragon's mistakes, until his fiancee gets captured by hideous, insectile, cannabilistic creatures called the Ra'zac. To have any idea what I'm talking about you will have to read Eragon, which is Eldest's prequel. Anyway I would recommend this to whoever likes dragons, dragon riders, dwarves, elves, mad kings who hate the country, and pretty much anything else that has to do with magic, swords, violence and epic novels. I would rate it a 5 out of 5 because I think that the author uses amazing language, manages to twist some part of the plot with another in a jewelled spiderweb of a story.

scooterooter Nov18 The Watsons Go to Birmingham 1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis
This book is mostly hilarious but sometimes sad. The Watsons of Flint, Michigan are heading for Birmingham, Alabama. Kenny's older brother Bryon is a big troublemaker. He is even a juvinille delinquint! For example Byron got his lips stuck on the frozen car mirror because he was kissing himself on the mirror. Before you knew it they almost had to call the police! A mixture of comedy and sadness, this book is an alltime thriller! This book even got 2 silver newberry medals! I would defentially recommend this book to people who like comedy and realistic/historical fiction books. I would rate this book a 5 out of 5. So go on and start reading this spectacular book!

One day Fiver gives a warning of danger coming and that they must move their warren to another place or else be destroyed, but the warren leader refused to believe this horrid news so Fiver and Hazel gather a few friends and together set off to find and create a new warren of their own. The story keeps you right on your toes with humor, victory, and loss. I would rate this book a 5 and above because it is just a born classic. I recommend it to all readers who love animals, excitement and daring adventure. Of all the books I've read, this is one of the BEST!
